Tamika Lamison

Tamika Lamison began her career as an actor graduating from The American University's Department of Performing Arts, went on tour and moved to New York sustaining herself as an actor for five years. She realized that acting was limited, especially for women of color and decided to resurrect an old passion of her writing. She also graduated from The New York Film Academy in 1997.

Tamika garnered prestigious screenplay contests including the ABC/Walt Disney screenwriting Fellowship. She was accepted into American Film Institute's Directing Workshop for Women where she wrote, produced and directed her first award winning short film, "HOPE" which is currently on the festival circuit. Tamika cut her teeth doing double duty as a first time camera operator & Director on the new reality show, "COLLEGE HILL" which begins airing on BET on January 28th and has already been picked up for the new season.
