GAFFERS Rules & Regulations from Los Angeles & Sacramento Offices.

Regulations:

GAFFERS requires a DVD for festival screening and festival presentation purposes. The optimal NTSC digital video format for festival presentation is required. Should you require assistance with a DVD that is not of this standard, please contact GAFFERS immediately for support instruction. More than one DVD project may be submitted. A separate entry form must accompany each DVD. The entry form should be emailed to contact@gaffers.org pasted into the text message box as a Microsoft word document, or sent as a PDF. A second copy may also be added with the mailed DVD package as well. Festival organizers will consider projects submitted before completion, however a completed DVD will be required by May 5th for Film Festival presentation.

Entry Fees:

No entry fees are required.

Competition Categories:

Features: Your DVD totaling at least 60 minutes in length.

Shorts: Your DVD totaling less than 60 minutes.

Selected DVDs:

Selections will be published on this web site by May 31st. All project documentation for each DVD is due by May 5th. The deadline for Festival screening DVDs to arrive at this Festival is May 5th.

Judging and Awards:

An impartial Jury will select the outstanding DVD in each category. Various Festival prizes are awarded to the outstanding selections.

Shipping:

The cost of shipping your DVD to the festival is the responsibility of the entrant.

Those requesting notification of receipt, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope or postcard, or you may email your request to: contact@gaffers.org

Submissions DVDs and accompanying promotional materials will not be returned. Entrants may pay for return shipping of their selected DVDs with a pre-paid mailer envelope marked with all the necessary information.

Reproduction:

All selected DVDs/promotional materials presented at the GAFFERS Festival may be reproduced in part for promotional purposes.

Liability:

Although GAFFERS will handle all project materials with care and in a safe manner, GAFFERS is released from liability in the handling and shipping of your DVD and promotional materials.

Acceptance of Rules:

Participation in GAFFERS Festival implies acceptance of all Festival rules & regulations.
